Anyone from our parish family who has someone serving in the military and would like their name included on our Armed Forces Banner, please call (508-528-0020)or email parishpublishing@stmarysfranklin.org with the name.
Each week one Mass will be celebrated for the following intention: 
For the safety of those serving in the military and for the people of war-torn countries. 
In  April these Masses will be celebrated at 7am on: Tuesday, April 1, Wednesday, April 9, Thursday, April 17, Thursday, April 24, Monday April 28.

YOUTH MINISTRY NEWS  Father Bob and the new Youth Ministry Team have started a monthly Youth Mass which is geared to 6th-12th graders on Sundays at 5:30. The next Mass is Sunday, April 6th. Our last Mass had over 700 youth in attendance. Join us on April 6th and see what all the excitement is about!

REUNION!!!!!  It has been many years since the “Curtain” went up on a St. Mary’s Players Musical. A time has been planned to again gather and celebrate the “grease paint” and catch up on our lives since those days!!! Anyone who was involved in our shows, actors, make-up, stage crew, anyone is invited!!!

MASS FOR ANOINTING AND HEALING OF THE SICK  This Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 19th at 10:30am in the Community Room of Central Park Terrace (off Wachusett St., opposite Parmenter School). Sponsored by the Health Ministry of the parish, the Mass will be followed by a buffet lunch hosted by the Legion of Mary. For assistance with transportation, phone Nan Rafter, Parish Nurse at 508-528-0020.


St. Vincent de Paul Society  On the first weekend of every month, we collect food to distribute to those Franklin residents in need. The next food collection is on April 5/6.  We would welcome contributions of the following: cereal, rice, soup, jelly, fruit juice, all vegetables except corn, cookies, toilet tissue, paper towels and laundry detergent. Thank you again for your continued generosity.

1000 CLUB  The next 1000 Club drawing will be held Sunday, March 30th.  Due to declining enrollment the 1000 Club will end after the June drawing. We thank everyone who has participated in the club. After the drawing in June rebates will be sent to those members who have paid for months beyond June. If you would prefer, money already paid can used for another number for the remaining drawings or donated to either the Youth Ministry or the Health Ministry to fund their programs. Numbers are still available for the drawings through June. Please call Paula at the rectory if you have any questions.


PRAYER AND PLAY GROUP  Please join us for Saint Mary’s Prayer and Play Group Meeting for families of children with special needs. The meeting will be on Saturday, April 12th from 10:30-12:30 at Saint Mary’s Charter School auditorium. There will be a spring craft for the kids and an opportunity to pray for special intentions. Hope you can make it!


BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP  The Health Ministry will again sponsor a Bereavement Support Group beginning on Wednesday, April 16th. This seven-week peer group for those who have experienced a recent loss will meet in the parish rectory from 7-9pm. There is no charge for this program, but space is limited. Phone Nan Rafter, Parish Nurse, 508-528-0020 for further information and to register.

CWC FASHION SHOW  St. Mary’s CWC will present a Fashion Show at the Knights of Columbus Hall on April 17th at 7:30pm. You may purchase tickets at the rectory or by calling Doris Madden, 508-528-3668 or Marge Rettman, 508-528-9671. No tickets will be sold at the door. Admission is $10.

RAINFOREST ADVENTURE

A Tree Top Blast!!!

 

Vacation Bible School is being held during the week of July 14th -July 18th from 9am-12 noon for students in Grades K-5. We are also adding an additional class to our program this year, and that is for four-year-old children. Because this is the first year we will be offering this, we will be limiting the four-year-old class to 25 students on a first come, first served basis. Registration forms are available at the doors of the church, as well as the Religious Education Office. If you have any questions, please call the Religious Education Office at 508-528-1450.

Pray a Rosary of Peace  Please join us at 7:30pm each Sunday in the upper church to pray the Rosary together for an end to the war in Iraq.

Knights of Columbus News...St. Mary's Knights of Columbus Council has many great activities going on...On the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at 8pm there are the regular council meetings...Non-Smoking Bingo, every Monday night, 6:30pm.
