RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)
Are you interested in learning more about or joining the Catholic Church? Then RCIA might be for you. RCIA is a process whereby we welcome adults into full membership in the Catholic faith. The sessions are based on the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). RCIA is for those who are not baptized, those baptized in a Protestant faith, and adult Catholics who have not yet received First Communion and Confirmation.
RCIA meets weekly on Wednesday evenings at the Olive Branch Catholic Information Center, 10 Main Street, Franklin, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. beginning in October. Fr. Brian F. Manning and several other active adult parishioners serve as host team for the sessions.
Each week’s session will generally include opening and closing prayer, a lesson in the teaching of the Catholic Church, opportunity for questions, discussion and sharing, and a time for socializing. One who feels prepared receives the Sacraments of Initiation at the Easter Vigil Mass.
