YOUTH MINISTRY NEWS
Over 700 youth participated in our second “Youth Mass” which was held on March 9th!!!
It was so awesome to have the Youth Service Corps join up with the CYO Basketball Teams, as well as with a number of other high school and middle school teens – all of them “St. Mary’s Youth” – to celebrate Mass….the source and summit, as well as the visible expression of the Church. Afterward, it was great for the kids to socialize and eat some pizza.
So many are wondering how they can get involved in this exciting ministry. If you are in grades 6-12, and want to serve at a future Mass - either as a lector, altar server, or Eucharistic Minister - contact Dorothy Miller at dmiller53fales@hotmail.com. In addition to the Youth Mass, Fr. Bob Blaney and the Youth Ministry Committee is working hard to coordinate a full program of social and spiritual activities for grades 6-12. We need more hands, and encourage you to share your ideas with Fr. Bob at rblaney@stmarysfranklin.org.
