Caring Tree

Meeting Times
November, December
Meeting Location
Conference Room

The purpose of this group is to provide outreach and sharing to many different groups during the Christmas season. Friendly visits are made to nursing homes and homebound parish members, cards and small gifts are sent to local prisons, and other needs are met as they are identified.

Opportunities for giving are available for both children and adults. Over the years, we have seen the Caring Tree grow from reaching out to about 250 parishioners, nursing home residents, and forgotten patients at Medfield State Hospital and in the prison ministry to over 800 people in 2008. We have incorporated the St. Vincent de Paul Society and our Parish Health Ministry in our goal to serve those among us who need to know we care.

The Caring Tree makes all of its members feel great, because it is so well received by those in need. The recipients find it hard to believe that people they don’t personally know care enough about them to remember them when they are visited and receive cards and gifts.
